Weds

Minor success. A girl I had never talked to but I recognized from my school was at the coffee shop in front of me in line. So I cold approached that bitch. I just asked her if she goes to [school] and she said yeah and that I looked familiar. Then we had a little conversation about our respective grades. The thing is, would I have broached her without the success of last night? Probably not. I can almost guarantee it. So yeah this was a lukewarm approach as opposed to full on cold but I'll count it since I'm not going out again and it was still not super easy. DAYS SINCE NO COLD APPROACH: 2.

I started this blog a year ago during summertime living alone in a city. The idea of using the blog as motivation and protection in exposing myself to the uncertainties of the social atmosphere of strangers was the starting reason for the blog. I slacked off and finished my last year of school and now we are back. The idea is to live; to overcome social anxiety and low self-esteem and insecurities and introversion and to just try. To crash and burn. And of course to chronicle it all right here. The way it will work is before going out to local bars alone around 9 or 10 I will start a post with a 'pre' write describing my feelings and motivations. Then I will do a post write upon return. [Old About:] My goal is to cold approach one woman per day for the rest of the summer. By 'cold approach' I mean to start a conversation in a social public place (like a bar, park, book store) in a nonchalant and friendly manner. Although sex is undeniable as a factor, the overall purpose is accelerated personal growth. At the end of the summer I will have approached 60+ women, have 60+ stories to tell (which will all be chronicled right here) and hopefully will be the wiser for it.
