Monday is also a crappy day for cold approaching.
All the same, I was in the coffee shop today and there were two girls at the table behind me. It is extremely hard to broach a table, as a table is like an island of social blockade.
So anyway I was sitting there and my plan was that as I got up to leave and adjusted my stuff I would casually make some sort of remark to them. Like I would look their way (this is like a foot away) and if I caught eye contact I would say "studying hard?" See, just saying that to me sounds f'ing stupid.
So I chickened out and said nothing.
I knew before chickening out that if I just said one fucking thing no matter how stupid and just endured the torture and left immediately: like 2 seconds of torture, I would've felt like a king the whole day.
Well, better luck next time. No pain no gain.

I started this blog a year ago during summertime living alone in a city. The idea of using the blog as motivation and protection in exposing myself to the uncertainties of the social atmosphere of strangers was the starting reason for the blog. I slacked off and finished my last year of school and now we are back. The idea is to live; to overcome social anxiety and low self-esteem and insecurities and introversion and to just try. To crash and burn. And of course to chronicle it all right here. The way it will work is before going out to local bars alone around 9 or 10 I will start a post with a 'pre' write describing my feelings and motivations. Then I will do a post write upon return. [Old About:] My goal is to cold approach one woman per day for the rest of the summer. By 'cold approach' I mean to start a conversation in a social public place (like a bar, park, book store) in a nonchalant and friendly manner. Although sex is undeniable as a factor, the overall purpose is accelerated personal growth. At the end of the summer I will have approached 60+ women, have 60+ stories to tell (which will all be chronicled right here) and hopefully will be the wiser for it.
