A meager success but such all the same.
In coffee shop, see sort of homely girl working on laptop alone at bar. Drink coffee elsewhere then upon leaving to deposit my used coffee cup I walk up next to her.
"Working on a Monday night huh?"
"What?"
"Working on a Monday night huh?"
"Oh, yeah. Hehe"
I smile, tap the bar, and leave.
So yeah, work on say transitioning from a banal observation opener into a deeper conversation. But still, props for adding to the experience repertoire.

I started this blog a year ago during summertime living alone in a city. The idea of using the blog as motivation and protection in exposing myself to the uncertainties of the social atmosphere of strangers was the starting reason for the blog. I slacked off and finished my last year of school and now we are back. The idea is to live; to overcome social anxiety and low self-esteem and insecurities and introversion and to just try. To crash and burn. And of course to chronicle it all right here. The way it will work is before going out to local bars alone around 9 or 10 I will start a post with a 'pre' write describing my feelings and motivations. Then I will do a post write upon return. Enjoy and be inspired.
[Old About:] My goal is to cold approach one woman per day for the rest of the summer. By 'cold approach' I mean to start a conversation in a social public place (like a bar, park, book store) in a nonchalant and friendly manner. Although sex is undeniable as a factor, the overall purpose is accelerated personal growth. At the end of the summer I will have approached 60+ women, have 60+ stories to tell (which will all be chronicled right here) and hopefully will be the wiser for it. I am committed to making an update every day in this blog, cold approach or not. Go to the first post for more information.
